Hey Vince,
Good luck at the Nationals. Have a great time
and can't wait to read your stories. Thank you for doing that, I
know it's alot of work but we really appreciate it.

Ron Gleason's
website
Vince,
When viewing your coverage of the Worlds in Austria,
I also found Ron Gleason's website a to be good addition to yours
because he had different pictures.
Can you or anyone else
provide the link to Ron's website? I didn't save it.

Re: US

Ah, yes, I assume you mean your report on his pimping off Bruce
Barmakian on days 3 and 4. I liked your last line in your day 3
report.
It was interesting that, if you remember, Davis made
a big stink about Brian Porter pimping off other pilots when he was
flying his Utopia (Millenium variant) in Florida some years ago. He
went on and on about how it was somehow immoral to pimp. Later he
would defend his own pimping by saying it was a good competition
tactic and as long as he went out ahead once in a while it balanced
out (at least that's how I remember it).
You'll have to watch
it, Vince. With the jabs at Davis you make in your posts, you're
gonna make him mad at you. Then what?

Finding
Lift
"I learned some good stuff about finding lift yesterday" Vince
said. But that's all he said about it.
Aren't you going to
tell us Vince? We won't tell anyone else.

Finding
lift
OK Matt, here goes. About 1/4 mile before you expect to hit the
lift, slow down from the 50 mph you were flying to 35 mph or so and
add about 4" of flaps. If you don't do this, you can go right
through the lift and it feels just like a bump of turbulence.

Re: Finding lift
- FLEX WING
That sounds like: slow down to 30 mph and back off the VG to one
quarter or whatever setting you like for thermaling. Now Vince, what
about the "finding lift" part?
