Here's the deal:

The newsletter was composed in Microsoft Word 2000, then saved as a Rich-Text-Format file (.rtf). That 5mb file was then compressed into a .5mb Zip (.zip) file.
You must have a file compression/decompression program that can de-compress the Zip file back to it's original size.
Your Word Processing program must be able to read an .RTF file. Since .RTF is a common-denominator format, most WP pgms can read it.
