From the Editor
We're still in the depths of winter, so there's not much happening to report on. Even so, there are a few items that have come up:
February Meeting topics
There are three presentations scheduled for the club meeting, Thursday, Feb. 22.Brian Robins of Bright Star gliders, will be talking to us about all things rigid. With some of our members now flying rigids, and the rest of us avidly following the progress of these next-generation hang gliders, Brian's insight from his many years of Swift and Millenium development should be enlightening.
Best Practices in Harness setup will be your opportunity to show the rest of us how you have your harness set up for optimum flying comfort and utility. If you have some aspect of your setup that you'd like to share, we'll all be taking notes.
Fresh from his appearance as the centerfold in Hang Gliding magazine, Ernie Camacho will be showing you how you too can easily take photos of yourself while in flight. With all the flying we do, we should be able to get a lot more Sonoma Wings pilots into the magazine and the calendar.
Crazy Creek Tow Clinics
Four clinics have been scheduled for this spring. Each clinic has a maximum of 6 pilots. The first one is already full, and the second one may be too. If you want to get your aerotow sign-off, here's your chance. Click over to the Club Calendarfor the details.I beg, once again, for your contributions to YOUR newsletter. If you have news, share it.
We have lots of good things planned for this year. Come to the meetings, and come out to fly. BTW, check your phone no. and other info. on the on-line membership list, maintained by Matt Jagelka, to make sure your phone number is right. And use the list to let the rest of us know when you go out to fly.
