From the Editor
As you can tell from the index to this issue, There isn't much to report other
than what happened at the last couple of club meetings, and the last Executive
Committee meeting. There are a few things that I'd like to mention to
get you up to date on club doings:
- Larry Roberts graciously donated $60 to cover the cost of one year's worth
of "no ads" on the club Bulletin Board. John Blacet is handling the details.
Please let us know if you feel having no ads is worth the expense.
- A forecast of bad weather canceled the Dunlap fly-in.
- The Cinco de Mayo fly-in at Mt. St. Helena was a success. The weather was
wonderful, we all had nice flights and all the landings were good.
- Your editor is doing a better job this year of compiling the flying reports
as they appear on the Bulletin Board and giving them a permanent home on the
club web site's archive area. You can read more about the Cinco de Mayo
weekend there.
- The Coyote Howl fly-in at Lake McClure is happening this weekend. Check
the Bulletin Board to see who's going, and where those not going will be.
- It looks like some club members will be going to the Owens for the Memorial Day
weekend. Again, check the Calendar and the BB if you want to go.
- The four tow clinics at Crazy Creek for June are filling up fast. If you already
have your AT sign-off, consider coming out to free-fly. Check the
calendar for the details.
- There will be a Speed Gliding competition at Ed Levin sometime in June.
I don't think the date or details are set yet.
And a couple of newsletter items:
-
The desire for a download-and-print version of the newsletter hasn't
materialized so that option has been dropped.
-
Including a "for sale" section in the newsletter is redundant. The
website's "for sale" page is kept up-to-date. Please let Ernie know
if an item you have for sale has sold or should otherwise be taken off.
Club Meeting
Come to the meeting on Thursday, 5/24 at Round Table Pizza in Santa Rosa.
