From the Editor
We're well into the flying season. If you want to see what we've been doing,
flying-wise, check out our archived flight reports.
Here are a few things that are currently happening, or coming up soon:
- Rich Sauer is in Spain for the rest of this month, competing for the U.S.
in the World Championships and the World Air Games. His wife, Linda is
with him, acting as team captain and chief driver. We all hope they bring
home the gold! If you'd like to make a donation to help defray Rich's
considerable expenses, any club officer will accept it.
- The Regionals, in Carson City, are coming up the weekend of the 23/24.
go to the club calendar for details.
- The King Mt. meet is coming up fast. Some of us will be leaving on Saturday,
June 30. Again, go to the club calendar for details.
- We discovered that a law was passed in Colusa County, effective June 1,
prohibiting any flying activity over East Park Reservoir. Until further
notice, DO NOT LAND at the RESERVOIR!
And a couple of newsletter items:
-
This month hasn't produced much in the way of home-grown newsletter
articles, so I'm presenting you with several tidbits from the internet
hang gliding list. I hope you enjoy them.
-
Take your camera with you when you fly. I need photos for the newsletter.
Better yet, borrow Ernie's camera and mount it on your wing.
-
I'd like to thank Greg Sugg for doing an excellent job as Club Secretary.
Greg volunteered to fill in after Kurt had to resign, and he's been making
the trip from Benicia to attend both membership meetings and executive committee
meetings.
Club Meeting
Come to the meeting on Thursday, 6/28 at Round Table Pizza in Santa Rosa.
