Scot Huber's 2004 flight from St. John, to Yreka

Scot's flight to Yreka set a new record for St. John of 158 miles. And he did it by flying a route through the mountains, instead of out over the valley.

Since Scot will be flying this route again, hoping to break 200 miles, and since others may want to try this new route, here is a map and a bunch of "aerial" photos that you can use to study the route Scot took.

Scot was not able to load his track log into a computer, so the flight path had to be drawn from memory onto the map and photos. It may not be perfectly accurate, but it is close enough to show you what major landmarks he flew over.

In order to provide as much detail as possible, these images tend to be larger than normal. If you have a dial-up connection, they may take a bit of time to load.
